About the event

What if the government invested in you, instead of just awarding you a contract?

Title III of the Defense Production Act (DPA) gives the federal government a powerful–and often overlooked–way to strengthen the U.S. industrial base.

Instead of competing for a traditional contract, eligible companies may receive:

  • Direct investments

  • Loans and loan guarantees

  • Purchase commitments

  • Equipment and capacity expansion support

  • Other financial assistance

All aimed at addressing shortfalls in critical technologies, materials, and industrial capabilities.

If your company operates in manufacturing, technology, supply chain, energy, critical materials, or national security-related sectors, DPA Title III could open doors you didn’t know existed.

Why This Matters for Small Businesses

Most contractors focus on RFPs and set-asides.

DPA Title III is different.

It’s about federal investment in capabilities the government needs – sometimes before a formal procurement even exists. That means:

  • Funding to expand production capacity

  • Support to modernize equipment or facilities

  • Opportunities tied to national security priorities

  • A strategic advantage in emerging or high-demand sectors

Understanding how this authority works can help you spot opportunities earlier – and position your company for long-term growth.
