Federal contractors are facing a level of market disruption that many small businesses were never taught to navigate. Stop-work orders, budget rescissions, agency restructuring, prime contractor pullback, and crowded certification lanes are creating real revenue challenges for companies whose pipelines were built on assumptions that may no longer hold.

This webinar introduces a five-part, field-tested framework for assessing federal pipeline risk and making a strategic pivot when the market shifts. Instead of reacting after a crisis hits, attendees will learn how to evaluate their current exposure, select the right pivot path, and begin executing a practical action plan immediately.

What This Webinar Covers

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Recognize the four warning signs of revenue overexposure

  • Assess their current federal pipeline risk using a structured approach

  • Choose among four strategic pivot paths: Redirect, Diversify, Team, or Double Down

  • Reposition existing assets, including certifications, past performance, and relationships

  • Build a 90-day action framework with phase-by-phase milestones

  • Apply three proactive safeguards to protect against future disruption

Why This Matters

Traditional government contracting education often focuses on market entry — not market survival. This session fills that gap by helping small business contractors understand how to respond when funding, agency priorities, teaming opportunities, or market conditions change.

Participants will leave with a clearer picture of their current risk exposure, a pivot path matched to their situation, and a plan they can begin using right away — whether they are already facing a revenue crisis or trying to prevent one.

Hands-On Application

Every part of this session is designed for immediate use. During the webinar, attendees will:

  • Complete a Revenue Risk Audit

  • Select their strategic pivot path

  • Draft a 90-Day Action Plan with specific milestones and real targets

  • Write their first business development trigger

  • Identify at least one underutilized asset they can activate within the current quarter

All worksheets and templates are included, so application begins during the session — not after attendees return to their desks.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Identify Revenue Risk

Recognize early warning signs of federal market disruption and objectively assess how exposed their current pipeline is to contract loss or funding changes.

  2. Apply the Strategic Pivot Framework

Use a structured decision-making process to determine whether to redirect, diversify, team, or double down based on certifications, capabilities, and current market position.

  3. Leverage What They Already Have

Identify how existing set-aside certifications, including WOSB, SDVOSB, 8(a), and HUBZone, as well as teaming relationships and past performance, can be repositioned to access emerging opportunities.

  4. Build a 90-Day Resilience Plan

Create a simplified 90-day business development action plan addressing near-term pipeline stabilization and longer-term market diversification, including commercial market entry where appropriate.

  5. Implement Proactive Safeguards

Apply at least three concrete practices to protect against future revenue volatility, including pipeline diversification, relationship-building strategies, and business development trigger identification.

Target Audience: Small business owners, capture managers, business development personnel, and resource partners.
