Speaker Emma Carrasco, MBA, M.Ed., Senior Field Advisor for Northwest Texas APEX Accelerator Center at Texas Tech University will cover Doing Business with the Government.The Northwest Texas APEX Accelerator Center is a department at Texas Tech University that operates under a grant from the Department of Defense. The Northwest Texas centers are located in Abilene, Lubbock, San Angelo & Wichita Falls and cover 117 counties. They provide counseling at no charge for small businesses (as per the SBA rules) on how to do business with the government or assist with existing procurement efforts already in place. This includes getting a Unique Entity ID, SAM registration, government recognized certifications for women-owned, veteran owned, service-disabled veteran owned, 8(a), and the Texas HUB.
