About the event
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has a mission of making pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security. By investing in new technology-driven ideas, DARPA imagines and makes possible new capabilities for overcoming the threats and challenges that lie ahead. To that aim, DARPA sets aside funding every year to support early-stage small business research and development via the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.

In this presentation, Ms. Jennifer Thabet, Program Director, DARPA Small Business Programs Office (SBPO), will discuss the following:
An overview of DARPA (i.e., mission, organizational structure, etc.) and how it operates.
The agency’s various funding streams, including an in depth overview of the SBIR/STTR program and other key entry points for small businesses.
Additional resources to attendees on where to start via DARPA’s newest outreach and education initiative called DARPAConnect.
