Understanding VIPR-Virtual Incident Procurement

Virtual Incident Procurement (VIPR) is a web-based Forest Service application designed to administer preseason Incident Blanket Purchase Agreements (I-BPAs – formerly referred to as Emergency Equipment Rental Agreements or EERAs). This training covers all the steps needed to successfully get your equipment in VIPR.

Part 1 will cover the following:

• Equipment under VIPR each year

• Where and how to register

• SAM and eAuthentication Level 2

• Important websites

• Researching pricing

Part 2 will address accessing VIPR and completing your profile and NAP/IROC – status of your equipment.
